I’m committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of teenagers/ young people (16 years +), helping them to feel better and cope better.
I offer a lifeline to parents navigating the complexities of supporting their teen’s mental health, especially in today's digital age.
Amidst the smartphone era and heightened academic demands, pandemics, young people grapple with unprecedented challenges, leading to a concerning rise in emotional challenges such as anxiety, low mood, and stress amongst teenagers.
The constant connectivity and social media exposure can foster an environment where comparison flourishes, self-esteem falters and the pressures to conform escalate.
My approach is based on the latest evidence-based research from neuroscience and incorporates the very best elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with Hypnotherapy.
I only teens 16 years+ and in-person and have worked with teenagers from local Oxfordshire Schools, such as Bloxham School, The Marlborough, Heyford Park School, to name a few.
I am fully insured, enhanced DBS checked and a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council and Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists.
My therapy service is designed to support young people and teens (aged 16+) in navigating their mental wellbeing with greater confidence and clarity.

Next Steps for Parents: How to Support Your Teen’s Hypnotherapy Journey
Book a Free 15 Minute Call with me to discuss your teen’s needs.
During this brief session (just you ‘the parent(s)’ and me, we will explore the inner world of your child, identifying areas where they may seek support.
We will discuss sensitive details in a private setting, allowing you to gain insights into your child's needs. I will guide you through my approach and hypnotherapy, ensuring your comfort and confidence in your child's safety.
Together, we will explore the active role you can play in supporting the process, emphasising the significance of your involvement.
Additionally, we will cover feedback procedures and the consultative process, providing you with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Once you are comfortable, the next step would be to arrange an Initial Consultation Discovery Session (60 minutes) with you and your child.
I work with young people aged 16+ who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, stress, or emotional overwhelm. I offer a free 15-minute parent call to assess suitability and discuss any risks. Where more complex mental health concerns are present, I may recommend involving a GP or signpost to more appropriate support.
We then arrange an Initial Consultation/Hypnotherapy Discovery Session for you and your teen.
The Initial Consultation is a 60-minute session held with both the young person and their parent or guardian present. During this session, we’ll explore what’s been going on, what support is needed, and how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy could help.
I’ll explain how sessions are structured, introduce the process in a calm and age-appropriate way, and begin to build a foundation of trust and understanding.
A key part of my approach is education—helping both the young person and their parent understand how the brain works, and how it contributes to unwanted thoughts, feelings, behaviours or emotional patterns. We’ll look at the neuroscience behind anxiety, low mood and stress, and how we can begin to make positive, manageable changes.
Many young people find this knowledge empowering—it brings clarity and often a real sense of relief. For parents, it offers a shared language to support open conversations and provides practical insights for supporting their child’s emotional wellbeing at home.
This session can take place in person at my private, comfortable therapy room in Upper Heyford (near Bicester, Oxfordshire OX25) or online, depending on what works best.
My location is within easy reach of Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Berkshire, and Warwickshire.
What to Expect in a Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Session: Talking Therapy and Hypnosis / Trance Explained.
Psychotherapy / ’Talking’ Therapy
Each session begins with a calm, supportive space for talking therapy.
I help your child start to focus on the kind of future they want to create—exploring what’s going well, identifying their own strengths, and setting small, achievable goals that support positive change.
By visualising solutions and building on what's already working, the brain begins to form new, more helpful neurological pathways. Over time, this can support shifts in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours—aligned with what they want to achieve through therapy.
Depending on your child’s needs, this part of the session may include elements of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
This talking therapy component typically lasts around 30 minutes and helps lay the foundation for the hypnotherapy that follows.
Hypnosis / Trance
The second part of each session involves guiding your teen into a state of deep relaxation—often referred to as trance or hypnosis.
They can sit upright or recline—whatever feels most comfortable. In this calm and focused state, the conscious mind becomes quieter, and the subconscious mind becomes more open to helpful suggestions and imagery based on the goals we've discussed.
This relaxed state is natural, similar to daydreaming or becoming absorbed in a book. It allows the mind to reflect on positive changes and rehearse new patterns of thought, behaviour, and emotion.
Hypnosis in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy isn’t about being “under”—it’s a safe, collaborative process that can support improvements in confidence, emotional regulation, anxiety, low mood, and motivation.
This part of the session usually lasts around 20–30 minutes and is often the part teens enjoy most—offering calm, clarity, and time to reset.
Supporting your child and working together
I work collaboratively with your teen to explore their needs and goals. Together, we’ll agree on a personalised plan, and I’ll let you know the expected number of sessions based on their aims and our initial consultation.
Parents or guardians are present during the Initial Consultation but typically do not attend future sessions.
My sessions with young people are structured, solution-focused, and positive. We explore helpful tools for emotional wellbeing and put small actions in place to support meaningful change.
Hypnotherapy isn’t a quick fix—lasting change happens when the young person is willing to engage in the process. My role is to guide and support them every step of the way.
Creating positive progress and confidence
In sessions, we focus on recognising the strengths your child already has and exploring how these can be used to support their emotional wellbeing. I guide them in identifying small, achievable steps that reflect how they’d like to feel, behave, and respond to everyday situations.
We review progress regularly, and I offer brief updates to parents when appropriate. As confidence builds, we may agree to space sessions further apart—supporting your child’s growing independence and emotional resilience.
Taking things forward
Sessions usually come to a close when your child feels more confident and in control, and we agree they have the tools to support their wellbeing going forward.
Most clients benefit from 6–12 sessions, though this varies.
Some teens return for occasional top-up sessions—especially during exams, life changes, or times of stress. It’s a bit like having a personal trainer, but for their mental and emotional health.
